Sign in with a magic email link

This guide is for drivers who want to sign in to their Polaris Express account on the web without a password. You’ll enter your email address, then open a link your operator sends you. The whole flow takes about a minute.

  • An email address that your operator has already added to your account.
  • Access to your email inbox on the device you want to sign in on.

Goal Sign in to your account with an email link

Time~2 min

  1. Open the sign-in page

Go to your operator’s Polaris Express address and open /login. You’ll see the Polaris Express logo and a panel with the sign-in options your operator has turned on.

The customer sign-in page. The options shown depend on what your operator has enabled.
  2. Enter your email address

Type the email address tied to your account into the email field, then submit the form. The page confirms that, if your address is on file, a link is on its way.

  3. Open the email and tap the link

Switch to your inbox and open the message from your operator. Tap the magic link inside it.

The link is single-use and expires after a short time. If you tap it twice, only the first tap works.

  4. Land on your dashboard

The link opens Polaris Express in your browser and signs you in. You’re dropped on your customer dashboard at /.

You’re signed in when:

  • The dashboard loads at the root of your operator’s site.
  • Your name or email appears in the page header.

If you instead see the sign-in page again, the link expired or was already used. Request a new one.

The email never arrives. Wait a minute, then check your spam folder. If it’s still missing, request another link. The sign-in page rate-limits requests — if you hammer the button, you’ll see a “Too many requests” message and need to wait about a minute before trying again.

The link says it’s invalid or expired. Magic links are single-use and time-limited. Request a fresh one from the sign-in page and open it as soon as it arrives.

You see “No sign-in methods are available right now.” Your operator hasn’t enabled email sign-in and no tap-enabled chargers or scanners are online. Use the “Contact your operator” link to get help.
