Customer 60-second tour

This tour is for drivers who have signed in to Polaris Express for the first time. In about a minute, you’ll learn where your charging sessions, your next reservation, and the chargers you can use all live on the dashboard. You need a Polaris Express account and a web browser.

  • An account on your operator’s Polaris Express site.
  • You’ve signed in at least once. If signing in sends you to /admin, you have an admin account — switch to your customer account from the account picker.

Goal Get oriented on your dashboard

Time~1 min

  1. Open the dashboard

Go to the site root (/). After you sign in as a customer, this is your home. If you sign in as an admin, the site redirects you to the admin portal instead — use the account picker at /switch to come back as a customer.

The dashboard loads with your sessions, reservation, and chargers in one view.
  2. Check for an active session

If you’re charging right now, an Active session banner sits at the top of every page. It shows the kWh delivered so far and when the session started.

If there’s no banner, you don’t have a session in progress.

  3. Review your recent activity

The dashboard lists your last 5 charging sessions. Each row shows the energy delivered (kWh), the start and end times, and how long the session ran. Sessions that have finished are marked as finalized.

  4. See your next reservation

If you have a reservation that hasn’t ended yet, the Next reservation card shows the charger’s friendly name, the start time, and the end time. The soonest upcoming reservation is the one you’ll see.

If you have no upcoming reservation, this card is empty.

  5. Check your usage for the period

The usage section totals the kWh you’ve consumed in the current period and charts your daily usage. Switch the period by adding ?period=current, ?period=previous, or ?period=year to the dashboard URL.

If your operator has set you up with a plan, you’ll also see the plan name, your usage against it, and the currency.

  6. Browse available chargers

The chargers section lists up to 50 chargers you can see, with a counts pill showing how many are available right now. Each card shows the charger’s friendly name, its connector type (CCS, J1772, NACS, CHAdeMO, or Type 2), its maximum power in kW, and one of four statuses:

    • Online — ready to use.
    • In use — someone is charging.
    • Reserved — held by an active or confirmed reservation covering right now.
    • Offline — hasn’t been seen in the last hour.

You’re oriented when you can answer these three questions from the dashboard:

  1. Am I charging right now?
  2. When is my next reservation, and which charger is it on?
  3. How many chargers are available to me right now?

The dashboard sent me to /admin. Your account has the admin role. To use the customer dashboard, switch accounts from /switch.

My recent sessions list is empty. If you’ve never charged with this account, the dashboard treats you as a first-run user. Start a session and it’ll appear here once the system records it.

A charger I expected to see is missing. The dashboard shows up to 50 chargers. If your operator has more, ask them which chargers your account is meant to see.

My plan or currency looks wrong. Plan information comes from your operator’s billing system. If it’s missing or stale, contact your operator — the email is on the dashboard if they’ve set one.
